NASA Earth’s Applied Sciences Program Continues Its Commitment to Public Health on One Health Day 2018
Thursday 01 November 2018 - Thursday 15 November 2018
NASA Earth’s Applied Sciences Program has prepared a scientific post on the Making Space for Earth blog to commemorate One Health Day 2018. This campaign promotes three public health projects that use Earth observation data to address health challenges. These three projects are related to extreme heat (“Preventing Heat-Related Illnesses in New York”), cholera outbreaks (“Cholera Forecasts Enhance National Preparedness and Support Measures”), and harmful algal blooms (“Space Views Aid Florida ‘Red Tide’ Health Alerts”). These projects will also be disseminated via social media such as Twitter (@NASAEarth) and Facebook (NASA Earth).
