''ADOPT DON'T SHOP - UPM x UIA" is a program with collaboration of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Universiti Islam Antarabangsa (UIA). Under UPM, there are 2 associations which involved in this program which are One Health Student Club (OHSC) and Prokasih. The collaboration between OHSC and Prokasih is to give awareness on the importance of neutering and vaccination and the linking of these two on zoonotic diseases. This program is also to give awareness to people on how to protect themselves from infectious and zoonotic diseases. With these, public will be introduced on One Health which the health of people depends on the health of animals and environment. This program also encourage people to adopt stray cats rather than buying cats from shop in reasons to reduce the population of stray cats and zoonotic diseases such as sporotrichosis, cat scratch fever, rabies, and etc.
