PRADHIKAR is an organization of the general students of Sylhet Agricultural University organized by students of Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Science, SAU. Its activity is world-wide giving emphasis on animals of Bangladesh. It’s a Volunteer team that works for the establishment and reservation of animal rights to welfare and conservation of biodiversity.
Today they observed 3rd World One Health day at Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh. On 3rd November they organized an open session with almost 50 students of different faculty of Sylhet Agricultural University. In this session two key presentation were given by two of the executive members of team PRADHIKAR. The first presentation topic was ‘One health and sustainable development goals’. In this presentation speaker presented different aspect of one health to achieve sustainable development goals by 2030. Also he had given a clear concept about One Health among the audience. The 2nd presentation topic was ‘OIE standard and international trade’. In this presentation speaker relates one health issue with the OIE standards, and how we can work for welfare of animals.
After those two presentation PRADHIKAR President MD. Anisur Rahman discussed with the students about the One Health Issue, and took their feedback about the session. The full program was hosted by PRADHIKAR General Secretary Mohiuddin Haidar Rifat.
After this session they distributed a book named ‘The Philosophy of Animal Right’ by Dr. Tom Regan. The full program was hosted by the students self funding by a Voluntary activity.
