The Directorate of Animal Husbandry Kashmir, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, INDIA, is planning to celebrate “ONE HEALTH DAY” 2018, as on 03 November, 2018.
PLANNED ACTIVITIES
1. Publishing of Advisories in local newspapers of the Kashmir Valley for the general masses regarding “One Health” concept and highlighting the importance of Animal Husbandry based interventions to attain optimal health for people, animals, plants and our environment.
2. Organizing Educational Seminars/ Sessions at Directorate of Animal Husbandry Kashmir, Red Cross Road Gaw Kadal Srinagar Kasmir – 190001 (Jammu & Kashmir) INDIA on 03 November, 2018 regarding “Zoonoses and One Health approach to protect health, ensure food safety and security”.
3. Distribution of printed pamphlets to the general masses for conveying One Health Concept and raising general public awareness for prevention and control of Zoonotic Diseases. This activity shall be accomplished at Central Veterinary Hospital Srinagar and other hospitals of district Srinagar.
4. With the help of ICT Tools, viz., tv shows, radio talks, SMS alerts, web and social media updates, the activity of communication and dispersing of information regarding “One Health” concept, would be achieved.
