NO SMOKING DAY
Environmental tobacco smoking is dangerous to both humans and animals as it contains cancer causing compounds. Nicotine found in tobacco affects the nervous system of both cats and dogs. It is therefore important to stop/reduce tobacco smoking in our environment to ensure better health for ourselves and our pets. This ONE HEALTH event is aimed at bringing together various disciplines from Human medicine, Veterinary medicine, and Environmental practitioners to increase awareness about the dangers of smoking on the health of humans and animals among students of Nottingham Trent University.
- We shall hold a workshop about the event on 26th November 2018 at 3:00- 4:00pm in the "Loft" at Nottingham Trent University. This workshop will provide health education messages about the dangers of smoking to human health and animals.
- On 28th and 29th, we have have two stalls from 12:00-2:00pm at the university.
What we hope to achieve:
1. To raise awareness on the perils of smoking on human, animal and environmental health.
