The Kenya Healthcare Students’ Summit is a conference that brings together healthcare students and interested professionals from all over Africa. The conference aims at building capacity of Kenyan and by extension, African healthcare Students on matters pertaining to Universal Health Coverage as well as equip them with the necessary soft skills that they will need in their future profession as Healthcare Practitioners.

This Summit is a coming together of students from various faculties in various institutions of
higher learning, and is scheduled to be held from the 08-09 February 2019 at the United States
International University-Africa, Nairobi, Kenya under the theme, "Towards a multidisciplinary Approach for the Achievement of Universal Health Coverage in Kenya."

The Kenya Healthcare Students Summit (KEHSS) is the largest student conference in the country that represents all health sciences students in the country through their respective faculties namely, pharmacy,public health, dental surgery, nursing, radiology among others. We are also the official representative of all Kenyan Healthcare Students at the World Health Students' Alliance (WHSA).

The organizing committee are currently planning to host the inaugural summit from the 08-09 February 2019 at the, United States International University-Africa (USIU), Nairobi, Kenya under the theme, "Towards A Multidisciplinary Approach For The Achievement Of Universal Health Coverage In Kenya." The aims of the Summit includes and is not limited to:

-Providing an avenue for students to interact with key policy and decision makers and to engage them on issues that the normal classroom environment may not touch on in the course of their training.
-Creating the first cohort of “UHC champions” from the healthcare students who will attend the summit
-Develop a KEHSS action plan on Universal Health Coverage 2018/2020 by the end of the event
