The increase in bacterial resistance to antimicrobials presents serious consequences and new challenges for public health; animal welfare, food safety, and environmental health.

The objective of the congress is to bring together researchers linked to human, veterinary and environmental health, to discuss issues related to the epidemiology of antibiotic resistance with a ONE HEALTH approach.

The congress will address issues on the epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance, molecular biology, regulations on the use of antibiotics, control of multi-resistant infections, national surveillance plans and new strategies to address this problem.
