SAVMA & the Virginia Tech One Health Working Group are hosting the second annual International One Health Day Competition at Virginia Tech in honor of International One Health Day. Participants from all graduate programs (DVM, DO, MPH, PhD, and all master's programs) at Virginia Tech can complete in teams of four students. Each team needs to have at least one veterinary (DVM) or medical (DO/MD) student, one MPH student, and one graduate (MS or PhD, any department). Teams will develop plans to solve several different outbreak scenarios. Scenarios may encompass all aspects of One Health, from zoonotic diseases, to emerging infectious pathogens, environmental toxins, to natural disasters, to triage medicine in the face of an emergency. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.
