'One Health’ Approach From Zoonotic Threats to Climatic Disaster
In human history, pathogenic microorganisms do more harm to health than wars. Unfortunately, pathogens remain a threat in the 21st century. Many microbial threats have occurred globally, In the last quarter century. Moreover, during the “4th Epidemiological Transition” process, ecological, anthropogenic, sociodemographic dynamics have changed and the risks of new pathogens have increased. In the last quarter of the “Anthropocene Age” globalization, emerging zoonotic infections and climate change have caused enormous problems. In 1990s, the search for a new “paradigm” began in order to solve all the problems whose risks were emphasized. This new “paradigm” is the “One Health” that described in 2008.
I attend the 4th "One Health Day”activities for the third time this year. In this conference, “Zoonotic Threats, Climatic Disasters and One Health”, both to provide information to the community, “One Health Awareness” and to promote the development of “One Health Thought” which I give special importence.
