Bomet county will mark the fifth international one health day with the rest of the world and create awareness on the achieved outcomes of the approach in the county. Majorly the one health approach has been applied in addressing shared health threats like zoonoses in the county.

Through one health Technical Working Group, the county was able to conduct mass vaccination of dogs and cats against rabies in the month of September.

In this year's event, we plan to celebrate at Kiromwok Centre,Merigi ward Bomet East sub county. Awareness creation on One Health approach in combatting rabies, launching of second phase vaccination campaign targeting 10000 dogs and cats that will be done from 3rd November to 13th November 2020, and vaccination of dogs and cats against rabies in the vicinity will be the activities for the day.
