Initially, the event comprised a discipline from the Post-Graduate Program in Animal Science and Health, from the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), in order to disseminate and strengthen the concepts and strategies of One Health. However, the event has been carried out openly for post-graduate and graduate students, teachers and other professionals interested in the subject. The event has been held in the form of lectures, always in the second semester of each year, with the collaboration of several national and international professionals from various areas that are covered within the One Health context. The main goal of the event is to build interdisciplinary and interprofessional teams to work on the most urgent issues in the semiarid region of the state of Paraíba, Northeastern Brazil, in a holistic and integrated way. The first version of the event started in 2018 and we are already in its third version.
