One health day in Bosnia and Herzegovina
The expert meeting is intended for all stakeholders, employees in state, entity, cantonal and city / municipal institutions, representatives of public institutions, researchers, the private sector and others, and includes experts of various profiles, such as: doctors, veterinarians, ecologists, biologists, microbiologists, sanitary engineers, chemical engineers, food technologists, nutritionists and all other experts who believe that their actions can contribute to preserving the health of humans, animals and their common environment.
The aim of the expert meeting is to acquaint the participants, but also the general public in BiH, with the One Health Initiative, in order to explain the principles and importance of multisectoral cooperation in everyday work, and promote the integration of human, animal and environmental health.
For the fifth time, the Zenica Institute for Health and Food Safety will organize the celebration of "One Health Day" in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). For this purpose, it is planned to hold an expert meeting on the topic: "ONE HEALTH IN BIH" ("One Health in BiH"), and the meeting will be held on November 3, 2021 in Zenica, starting at 10:00. The expert meeting is intended for all stakeholders, government officials, representatives of public institutions, researchers, the private sector and others, as experts in various fields (doctors, veterinarians, environmental experts and others). The aim of the expert meeting is to introduce the participants, but also the general public in BiH with the One Health initiative to explain the principles and importance of multisectoral cooperation in everyday work, as well as promote an integrative approach to human, animal, plant and environmental health.
During the expert meeting, it is planned to hold a presentation, by INZ employees and distinguished guests.
This event highlights the importance of a multi-sectoral and collaborative approach by experts and experts from different sectors, such as public health, animal health, plant health and the environment, who should join forces to support the “One Health” approach.
