To further strengthen the network of ASEAN Heritage Parks in the ASEAN region, the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) organises the AHP Conference every three years. The Conference convenes AHP personnel, conservationists, representatives from local communities, government, youth, as well as other selected stakeholders and partners.

This year’s Conference, hosted by the Government of Indonesia, through the Ministry on Environment and Forestry’s Directorate of Biodiversity Conservation of Species and Genetics, will run from 31 October to 3 November 2022 in Bogor, Indonesia. Carrying the theme “Healing Nature and People: The Role of AHPs in Ecosystem Protection and Pandemic Recovery,” the Conference will tackle issues and actions on ecosystem restoration and the role of protected areas in the recovery from and prevention of future pandemics, promoting the One Health approach, in support of the UN Decade of Ecosystem Restoration and the ASEAN Comprehensive Recovery Framework.
