This is a two hour seminar, organised jointly by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and the Norwegian Veterinary Institute, but open for registration to any interested person or institution in Norway.
We will have five 15-20 minute presentations on very different research aspects - from zoonotic pathogens (bacteria, parasites) to non-zoonotic pathogens (the effect of African Swine fever on human health in Sweden after the first findings there), to plant health, to comparative medicine.
The intention is to use the final part of the seminar to discuss One Health issues. Potentially of particular relevance to our situation is the extent of inclusion of the wide scope of One Health into research in our two institutions and also into the veterinary education in Norway.
