During the week following One Health Day (November 4-8, 2024), we are encouraging Grade 5-9 teachers in Alberta (and beyond!) to complete the lesson 'Off Leash Obstacle - A One Health Lesson.'

In this exercise, students will explore a One Health problem (letting dogs off leash in parks) from multiple perspectives, including perspectives representing people, animals and the environment. Students will work together to find solutions that consider the health and well-being of all living things and the environment we share.

The lesson includes a teacher's guide, videos, printable role cards, and google slides.

Learning outcomes in Science, Social Studies and Wellness are addressed.
