1st International Conference One Health & Zoonotic Threats: An Integrated Approach
The Clinical Academic Center of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (CAC-TMAD) – Professor Nuno Grande – is a high-level consortium founded by the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) and the Hospital Center of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (CHTMAD), in partnership with 24 local health centers. This center is organizing the 1st International Conference of the Zoonoses Working Group | CAC-TMAD (1st ICZoonoses – CAC-TMAD) under the theme: One Health & Zoonotic Threats: An Integrated Approach.
The event will take place on One Health Day (November 3rd) and aims to create a space for sharing knowledge and ideas between national and international experts from human, animal, and environmental health fields. The program includes:
- Talks by internationally renowned speakers
- Presentations of cutting-edge research by leading scientists
- Participation from healthcare professionals, the Ministry of Health, public administration representatives, the pharmaceutical industry, and the diagnostics sector, among others
This will be a unique opportunity to discuss challenges, exchange experiences, and shape the future of research and action in the field of zoonoses, with a direct impact on public health from a One Health perspective. The event is fully aligned with UTAD’s Strategic Program 2021–2025.
